It is now possible to mark part of an excavation as being exempt from the LTI fee. This is done during the process of closing out an excavation prior to submitting the licence T5.
The applicant can mark part of an excavation as being exempt from an LTI fee by reason of:
•Full Width Reinstatement.
Where a full width reinstatement has been completed this option should be selected.
•Exempt by Agreement.
Where an agreement to apply an LTI exemption has been made with the Licensing Authority, this option should be selected.
In the case that the LA is not satisfied that a Full Width Reinstatement was completed or where an Agreement was not reached, the T5 will be Rejected.
To mark and excavation or part of, as being exempt:
1. Once works have been completed, open an excavation and locate the surface(s) you wish to mark as being exempt, for each surface press the ‘Complete’ button.
2. From the ‘Complete Reinstatement’ screen, use the ‘LTI Exemption Status’ field to select the appropriate option. By default, ‘No Exemption’ will be selected.
Where part of an excavation has been marked as exempt from an LTI fee the status can be viewed by:
1.Hovering the mouse over the map marker/polyline.
2. Opening the Excavation.
LA users will be warned of exemptions when viewing the licence at Sign-Off stage.
